Person:William Covington (15), said to be son of Thomas and Mary (Newbill) Covington, b. 1725, m. Mary Walker in Amelia VA in 1747, d. 1817, Lincoln, Georgia, had a daughter Urcilla b. 1754 in Guilford, NC (m. John Walker in Rutherford, NC in 1773, d. in Rutherford, NC.
(Note: migration route, Newbill as family name, would tend to support this as being the William Covington who died in Lincoln County, GA, but no mention of a daughter named Ursilla in will, and several of other children reported on Ancestry do not match those in will.)

Person:William Covington (3), b. abt 1753, Amelia, VA, son of William who died ca 1785, m. Phebe Old (in Edgefield, SC?); brother of Rosamund, Joseph (b. ca 1750), John (b. ca 1750, married in Edgefield, SC,had children, d. 1802), Amey (b. ca 1761).
(Note: He is not the same person as the William Covington who died in 1816 in Georgia. His son William died in Abbeville and grandchildren have land records in Edgefield, SC.
