Person talk:Sieds Sennema (5)

Watchers

From Sieds Sennema (4): Page title [24 May 2011]

Ben, it appears that you will need to rename this page and Family:Sieds Sinnema Sennema and Grietje Van Der Meer (1). You can keep the primary name spelling in the title, and add alternate spellings as an Alt Name. You can rename the page by clicking on Rename from the menu on the left. You do not need to add the (#) number at the end, the software will assign that automatically for you. Let me know if you have any questions. --Jennifer (JBS66) 08:17, 24 May 2011 (EDT)

Jennifer, I think it will be better first to use the name Sennema and as Alt Name Sinnema. Sieds was born as a Sinnema but only when he moved to Groningen with his family he was registered as Sennema. What do you think?--Bensinnema 08:45, 24 May 2011 (EDT)

Well, I think you are the expert on the Sinnema family :-) My opinion is that he wasn't really born or married under the name Sinnema, he was using the patronymic name. It seems to be that not until 1812 with the birth of Sijtze does he use a surname, and that appears to consistently be Sennema. So, Sennema would be my suggestion. --Jennifer (JBS66) 09:17, 24 May 2011 (EDT)
Sennema it will be with Alt Name Sinnema for him and the first 5 children (Alt stands for Alternative?). When I have made the changes do I still have to rename the Family pag?--Bensinnema 09:52, 24 May 2011 (EDT)
I see you've already renamed the page, so my response is a little late... Yes, you would need to rename both the person and family page just as you did. Changing the name within the edit screen changes how the name is displayed inside the blue box on the page, but it does not change the page title. The page title is at the top of the page in black - for example Person:Sieds Sennema (4). Alt is an abbreviation for alternate. --Jennifer (JBS66) 11:13, 24 May 2011 (EDT)
Do I have to do anything more except for changing data?--Bensinnema 11:36, 24 May 2011 (EDT)
No, the page titles are all set now. --Jennifer (JBS66) 11:42, 24 May 2011 (EDT)
