Person talk:Marie Bellehache (1)

Alt-name [26 May 2010]

Which page in Tanguay does it say her name was Marie-Anne-Michelle Bellehache? On 1:78 I see she had a daughter by the name of Anne-Michelle.--Jennifer (JBS66) 13:27, 12 May 2010 (EDT)

You are correct, I must have been dreaming. Page 419, col 2, gives 1673 Gilles wife as: Bellehache Marie and a daughter named Marie-Anne-Michelle Boure b. 12 Dec 1674 at Quebec.--B.holmes 18:47, 12 May 2010 (EDT)

I just got around to checking out Marie's addition to King's Daughters link. Very interesting. Is there a source list of these ladies? OK aalso I just noticed your source to answer my question. Sorry, I'll read that first. OK. Well documented and very interesting. The Contract date and marriage date are the same? I guess that does fullfill the contract but there must be an initial contract date and emigration dates. Ships etc. Do you know of other record sites?

Hi, the sources that I used are listed on the bottom of the King's Daughters (filles du roi) page. I have yet to come across emigration dates or ship information. I can't say that I've delved much into this research. I mainly wanted to create a single page that listed the women - and start linking them to that and the category as I have time. --Jennifer (JBS66) 08:08, 26 May 2010 (EDT)

Well thanks again! It is a very interesting chapter in the family history. Reminds me of the NW timberman musical "Seven Sons for Seven Daughters". But 737 daughters for the new World! Cheers.--B.holmes 08:14, 26 May 2010 (EDT)
