XXhebbende declarant en de getuigenXX

This document names this person : http://www.werelate.org/wiki/Person:Cornelis_Hoekstra_%287%29

but has maybe a double layer, as Kornelis Libbes Hoekstra is the owner of the ship. The document states, the ship is nearby the village of Boornbergum, when Aaltje Stoffels Niep gives live to a child who they name "Libbe" The strange thing is, that they name Durk Klazes de Jong, the context is yet unclear to me ...

I don't think this is Cornelis & Antje's marriage cert. This should be Libbe's birth certificate from 15 Apr 1823 - Genlias --Jennifer (JBS66) 13:10, 5 April 2011 (EDT)

It is Libbe's birth certificate from 15 APR 1823. But it does not yet reveal the entire story ... who is the father ?? ...

Since we agree that it is Libbe's birth certificate, mind if I remove the 17 APR 1823 marriage date on Family:Cornelis Hoekstra and Aaltje Nijp (1)? So far, they were not married for 2 of the three births of the children listed. --Jennifer (JBS66) 14:28, 5 April 2011 (EDT)

Ofcourse ... I'm not finished yet on this document ... could be the base of a nice novell :-)

read the sort of translation :

Giving a overview of the inhabitant counting of 1830 for Ferwerd , stating :

Op het Water ( on the wather, so on a boat )

de Jong, Christoffel Dirks age 20 birthplace Ferwerd jongmans zonder beroep
de Jong, Klaas Dirks age 15 birthplace Ferwerd jongmans zonder beroep

Hoekstra, Kornelis Liebes age 58 birthplace Ferwerd jongmans Schippersknegt
--cabrioot 15:34, 5 April 2011 (EDT)

This does mean, Aaltje, living with Kornelis Liebes Hoekstra was born in 1787 in Dockum
It also states, Aaltje was married, Kornelis wasn't, and they did live as one family.
Durk isn't in the picture anymore, but his children are living on the same place ... strange ... maybe he's in jail ... will check that too ...

Very interesting... So Libbe's birth certificate doesn't specifically state Durk was the father right - just that Aaltje was the mother who happened to be the housewife of Durk? Also, the name Libbe is in Cornelis' family not Durk's. --Jennifer (JBS66) 15:52, 5 April 2011 (EDT)

Right ... so Libbe is the child of Aaltje and Kornelis
But, the other children have the surname of "de jong", so their father is Durk
at some point Durk is out of the picture--cabrioot 15:57, 5 April 2011 (EDT)

Libbe also used the de Jong surname at the time of his marriage, so we can't really say Genlias had an error calling him Libbe de Jong in his birth record instead of Libbe Hoekstra. I suppose since she was still married to de Jong, that is the surname name Libbe would need to take. --Jennifer (JBS66) 17:37, 5 April 2011 (EDT)
