I'm not entirely convinced that John IV owned the property on Borden's Grant, as shown in the diagram. This parcel shows an title date of 1753, but in fact, if you accept Hildebrand's statement that he was showing parcels acquired from Benjamin Borden Sr, then acquisition would have been made by 1743. Accepting White's DOM for John IV's parents as 1734, John IV could not have acquired land by 1743. There are other John Walkers on Walkers Creek, and this could be one of them---for example the son of Alexander, known as "Gunstocker John". Q 08:07, 15 November 2009 (EST)
