Hi Arthur,

I didn't know anyone else was working on the LAY family of Lyme. I'm descended from the John Jr born 1654, and just discovered that I'm probably descended from John "Drummer" also through son, Edward. Most info I've seen has "Drummer" marrying Sarah Andrews. Duplicate family [21 September 2009]

Have you come to a resolution on the wives of John Lay? We have duplicate mothers for children Sarah and Catherine. I've heard nothing back from the researcher who claims Sarah Collin is wife of John Lay. Also, not seen any support for this wife's surname (Collin). I'm all for consolidating and placing Sarah Collin as Alt wife, but will wait for advice. --Neal Gardner 11:52, 21 September 2009 (EDT)
