Jane, wife of John Hopkins, Nathaniel Ward and Gregory Wolterton [4 October 2012]

Was she really the Jane Strong baptized 20 MAR 1610 at Chardstock, Dorset? I went through the 48 IGI entries for a Jane Strong born/christened in 1610 and found that none of them referenced a source. Anderson (The Great Migration III:413) sketch of John Hopkins (citing the 1932 Hopkins genealogy) does not give a surname but simply indicates that he married one Jane -----; Torrey does not give her a surname either. Is there some other credible source that identifies this woman as Jane, daughter of Thomas and Joanna (Bagge) Strong?--Jaques1724 23:31, 7 May 2011 (EDT)

Strongs of Strongville, the main source on the Strong family - makes no mention of a cousin Jane Strong coming to the US. Surely the author would have thought to mention this. In fact he only skims the children of George Strong's son Thomas (uncle of Elder John Strong) briefly and makes no mention of daughters of his.--Daniel Maxwell 03:44, 4 October 2012 (EDT)
