George's parentage [8 February 2012]

George was originally shown as the son of Family:Thomas Fitzjohn and Emily Pattel (1), but this is considered wrong on two counts - first, his baptism record clearly gives his parents as John and Eliza and second George was born eight years before Thomas and Emily married, when they were aged about 12 and 13.

Whilst George is therefore clearly not Thomas and Emily's son, there is a problem with him being John Fitzjohn and Eliza Woodward's son too, in that they appear to have already had a son named George, who appears to have been still living.

George's birth certificate would need to be obtained to find his mother's maiden name to help resolve the mystery.--RichardK 11:20, 8 February 2012 (EST)
