As far as I can tell, the modern view is that Geoffrey was the son of Hugues du Perche. See, for example, Medieval Lands and The Henry Project. The ancestry given here on Werelate seems to be taken from Royalty for Commoners, which is widely considered to be unreliable. (Try Googling reviews of it.)--Werebear 21:29, 2 March 2013 (EST)
