Person talk:Ezekiel Turner (12)

Wife and One Daughter [13 November 2011]

The book "Genealogy of the Stimson Family" gives a wife Susannah Keeny and a daughter Susannah for Ezekiel Turner. Any objections?

(Unfortunately, it only lists the one daughter it needs to connect the line.)--Pkeegstra 07:55, 12 November 2011 (EST)

There is no need to ask about adding new information (even changes if you provide reliable sources to justify it), and hopefully you will include the source. You may also want to take a look at Barbour records for New London [1] and various other sources found on books.google.com that list more children (here and here). The Barbour records are primary records for this family, and studying the entire family is a sign of a thorough genealogist, and so is one indication that a source is probably more reliable. --Jrich 11:31, 12 November 2011 (EST)
See also my reply to your reply on Isaac Foster. Thanks for the pointer. It looks like Barbour for New London can get me what I need for New London Turners, Fosdicks, and Picketts, with one remaining question. Are Mary, Marcy, and Mercy Pickett (b 1659/60) all 3 the same person?

I don't really know this family, was just interested in differentiating the two sons of Humphrey Turner that were both named John, which included adding their children (i.e., Ezekiel). But it was typical at the time that those three names (Mary, Marcy, Mercy) were all interchangeable, so the answer is probably yes. --Jrich 10:17, 13 November 2011 (EST)
