Person talk:Anna Churchman (1)

Huntington [10 August 2018]

There is a Huntington in Cheshire, a county next door to Shropshire. There is no Huntington in Suffolk (which I assume you meant by Suffock), but there is a Huntingfield. --Goldenoldie 15:23, 1 December 2014 (UTC)

Huntington may also be a hamlet or manor within a parish of a different name. --Goldenoldie 11:08, 10 August 2018 (UTC)

The place was inserted a long time ago by an inactive user with no sources probably because they finally found an Internet tree that had something to copy. The only way to fix it is to research the person and find an actual basis for an actual answer. England is not an area I have much familiarity with so probably unable to help. --Jrich 13:34, 10 August 2018 (UTC)
I removed the unsourced birth 1617/1618 Huntington, Suffolk, England Suffolk given as "Suffock", and unsource christening 19 Mar 1625 Lydbury North, Shropshire, England, which also seems improbable since it makes her 14 at marriage. The cited source, Mayflower Families Through Five Generations says "parentage unknown", which suggests neither of these dates is credible. I also add the following comment found on the History page: "Hugh Churchman of Lynn had daughter Annis who m. William Witter. Both she and this Ann were living when he made his will, but only Annis Witter mentioned therein." --Jrich 13:52, 10 August 2018 (UTC)
