Spelling of Given Name

Zeruiah Winter was named, it is assumed, for the character in the bible Zeruiah, daughter of Jesse of the Tribe of Judah. That Zeruiah was an older sister of King David. Zeruiah had three sons, Abishai, Joab, and Asahel, all of whom were soldiers in David's army. (Wikipedia).

While common enough in the late 17th and early 18th centuries, this given name is no longer in common usage, at least in the United States. The spelling is not intuitively obvious, and the name is commonly mispelled. The following provides a summary of the frequency of occurrence for this name on the web.
