"Zephaniah Dunn, the son of Benajah Dunn and Sarah Harrod, was born on 5 December 1799 in Harrison County, Kentucky. On 3 November 1823 at Cynthiana in Harrison county, he married Lavina Brownfield. She was born 6 November 1805 at Cynthiana, the daughter of John Borwnfield and Anne Clements. Zephaniah and Lavina lived a time in Harrison County, then moved to Urbana, Champaign county, Illinois, where they farmed. Lavina died 23 February 1876 at Urbana. Zephaniah died 17 December 1876 in Atchison county, Missouri. They were both buried in the Dunn Family cemetery at Urbana, Illinois. they had thirteen children."
