William Wright, the eldest son of John Wright, inherited 200 acres of the family farm. He married Elizabeth Thomas, daughter of John and Jemima Thomas in 1804. William farmed, raised a family of eight children: John Thomas, James, Margaret M., Amanda W., Mary B., Samuel M., Elizabeth “Eliza”, and America. William died in 1860.
