So far, inspection of the 1841 census for Hanbury and the 1851 census for Birmingham has produced no leads. 94 Sherlock St. seems to be unoccupied in 1851. But Sherlock St. does connect to Gooch St., and both are close to Frank St., where William Taylor's son George was living when he married in 1906, indicating the family lived in the same area of Birmingham for half a century.
