The will of John Stuart seems to indicate two sons William at his death. Chalkley's Transcription is a bit unclear, but states "to son, William, when he attains 20 years; to eldest son, William, the plantation devised to him by his Uncle William Stewart, deceased; "

This might be a case of Name Recycling, with the second William born after the first Williams death, and so named to commemorate the first. This does not seem to be the case since both Williams are named in the will,and therefore presumably living at the same time. Most likely the same son William is being referred to twice, with two separate bequests.
