  • Page 278.--26th March, 1790. William Palmer's will--To sons, Robert, William, executors; to daughters, Mary, executrix, Ann, Martha; to son-in-law, James Spence. Teste: Samuel Henry, Wm. Spence, Mary (mark)Dunlap. Proved, 18th July, 1797, by Henry and Spence. (Note: William Spence had to have reached adultgood to have witnessed the will of William Palmer, likely William was born by 1769 or slightly earlier).
  • Vol. 2 - Marriage Bond - 1793--June 25, William Spence and James Anderson, surety. William Spence and Mary Anderson.
  • Vol. 2 - Marriage Record - 1793, -By Rev. Wm. Wilson: May 26th, Wm. Spence and Polly Anderson.
  • Vol. 1 - MARCH, 1795 (A to H). - James Dunlop vs. James Spence.--19th February, 1793. William Spence, son of James. Jane Spence makes oath July, 1795, her husband, James Spence, etc. Robert Douglas had moved to Campbell County, 1794. George Rust lived in same county. William Kilbreath has lately gone to French Broad.

Executors, wife Jean, Thos. Patten, Andrew Fulton. Teste: James and Wm. Brown, Wm. Spence. Proved, 28th April, 1806. Jane refused; Fulton qualifies.
