William Rice, m. (1) 7 Oct 1719 Martha Rice, m. (2) 10 May 1733 Hannah Graves. Will of William Rice of Sudbury dated 17 Nov 1762, proved 27 Feb 1770, mentions wife Hannah; sons William and Elijah; daughters Sibleth Jennings and Beulah Rice; son Micah executor.

  2. Ward, p. 53, says he "d. 1769, aged about 72 years". This would place his birth about 1697, and make him quite a bit younger than his wife. This does not appear to be based on any evidence other than Ward's proposed birth order for the siblings. Birth dates are not known for some of the siblings, and there is a gap from 1681-1688, so he appears to have merely assumed the children named after parents were 1 and 2 without evidence. It seems unlikely William was born much after 1695, and it would not be surprising if William's birth was as early as 1685.
