Facts and Events
Children: 1. Elijah Pringle; 2. Mary "Polly" Pringle; 3. John Pringle; 4. William Pringle III; 5. Lavinia Pringle; 6. Christina Pringle
Assuming that the census records are correct (and using other information), the family could have looked like this:
- husband: William Pringle, born 1766
- wife: Elizabeth McCoy, born 1765
- son: John Pringle, born 1786
- daughter: born 1788
- son: William Pringle, born 1793
- daughter: born 1795
- daughter: born 1797
- son: Elijah Pringle, born 1799
- son: born 1801
- daughter: born 1805
- daughter: born 1807
This would leave a male and a female aged 16-25 in the 1800 census unaccounted for. These could be siblings of either William or Elizabeth.
Alternately, given that this William probably fought in the Revolutionary War in 1780, his age in the 1810 census might have been incorrect, and if so, he could have been born as much as 10 years earlier.
