William was a church warden in Chesham in 1617. After his wife died, William emigrated to the New Haven Colony on the “Truelove” in September, 1635 with second wife Mary and children Elizabeth, Sarah, Mary, and John. His will is dated 9 July 1647 and refers to an estate in Yorkshire in town of Gigleswere (Giggleswick) in Craven.
