This William Pickens, son of John and Eleanor (Kerr) Pickens, baptized in Tinkling Spring, Augusta County, Virgina in abt. 1742, must have died young. Another William Pickens (William Gabriel Pickens) was born "the 18th day of October 1760 in the District of Camden, State of South Carolina", taken from the pension application of William Gabriel Pickens.
