William was knighted by the Rt. Hon. Sir William Drurye, Lord Justice of Ireland, on 14 September 1579 in Ireland.[3]
Death and Probate
In his will dated 27 June 1586[4] Sir William Pelham of Eythrope, Buckinghamshire, named his wife Dorothy and son William to be executors with the supervision of Sir Thomas Bromley, knight and Lord Chancellor of England, and Sir William Cecil Lord Burley, knight and Lord Treasurer of England. The will was proved on 28 February 1587[/8] in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury, London.
