    "William Pantry/Payntie died Nov 1649 mar Margaret who died 1651. Early member 1 Ch. Name on Founders Monument. … Cambridge 1634; came to New England in the same ship with Samuel Greenhill, Timothy Stanley, Simon Willard, etc; a lot was granted to him in Newtown Aug 4, 1634; freed from training Nov 7, 1634; freeman Mass, March 4, 1635; removed next year to Hartford where he was one of the wealthiest of the original proprietors. His home lot in 1639 was on the street now Front St, James Olmsted's lot being on the south and Thomas Scott's on the north; townsman 1641-1645; constable 1649; inv Nov 29, 1649 £l011-10 (debts £160). His wife survived him and in her will dated Sept 12, 1651 mentions daughter Mary Bryan, sister Brunson, and two children of Richard Brunson that he had by my sister viz John and Abigail Brunson; son John Pantry."

    I give to my wife Margaret Pantry, with Goods, Rights and Privileges, an Annuity of £15 a year; to his son John Pantry, £240; and to daughter Mary, £150, wife of Richard Bryan of Milford.

    Memorandum : That whereas, Richard Bryan of Milford hath taken to wife Mary Pantry, the daughter of William Pantry of Hartford, Deceased, and doth now demand a portion with his wife part of the Estate of the sd Wyilliam Pantry of his Brother John Pantry, now in possession of the said Estate: Know all men by these presents, that it is agreed Between the said Richard on the one parte and John Pantry of Hartford on the other parte that the said John paying or give Bond to pay £240 or what of the same remains unpaid, for to be paid to William Gibbins of Hartford or his Assigns, for the use of the said Richard as his parte of his father in lawe his estate with his wife as her portion.
