William Love and Brother Joseph Killed by Indians in 1758

William Love is included in the list from Chalkley's of Indian Attacks of 1755-1759 in Augusta County of settlers killed by "the enemy" (most likely Shawnee Indians being spurred on by the French) in Augusta County:

Joseph Love, at Roanoke, killed; Wm. Love, at Roanoke, killed; servant maid and child, at Roanoke, prisoners. (Note: the William Love that died with Joseph Love is thought to be a probable (but not proven) brother of Joseph. More research is necessary to determine the exact relationship).
