Facts and Events
THE GREAT MIGRATION, a genealogical effort conducted by NEHGS, does not recognized WIlliam Lawrence's wife as being a Sprague. Thus, all of the information included here must be considered INCORRECT. It looks like someone made assumptions when researching the Sprague family.
A William Lawrence was captain of ship "The Planter" which landed in America in 1635 with his mother and siblings aboard. His parents were:
Father: Thomas LAWRENCE b: 2 Feb 1588/89 in St Albans Hertfordshire England or John TUTTLE b: 4 Jun 1596 Mother: Joan ANTROBUS b: 29 Jun 1592 in St Albans Hertfordshire England
He is listed as being husband of Mary Sprague, born about 1623 in England. All together, there is a great confusion about the Lawrence men of this time.
