According to the records of St. Martin in the Fields (on file at Westminster Public Library, London) William Lambdin, born 6 Sep. 1597, was the son of William Lambdin husbandman (farmer) of Great Marlow. William the son married Martha Axtell on Nov. 19, 1619. She was born on 24 Oct. 1595 at St. Mary Mounthaw. They had four children: Martha, William, George, and Robert all born a year or so apart. Only Robery survived infancy.

From "The Lambdin Chronicles", pg. 17.:

William was born in England in 1546 near the town of Marlow. As a young man, William was a farmer by trade and a landowner. He raised a vareity of crops and livestock and evidently had a thriving business of selling his produce, cattle and horses to people in the area. The name of his wife is not known; however, they had a son, William, Jr., (9/6/1597) born in Marlow and christened at an early age in the St. Martins-In-The-Fields Church. William, Jr. served an apprenticeship learning the baker's trade, and later set up his own bakery shop in the nearlyy town of Reading, England.
