Facts and Events
William George Kempson was born in 1867 at Luton in Bedfordshire, the first child of a straw hat sewer named Sarah Ann Kempson, formerly Smith, and her husband James Kempson, a bricklayer and plait bleacher. Sarah and James had married earlier that year.
William was baptised on 9th July 1868 at the parish church of St Mary's in Luton, but then died later that month, being buried on 27th July 1868, aged only ten months old.
