SCMAR, Vol. III, Summer 1975, No. 3, p.174 The heirs of William Henry, Junr, can be learned from two deeds by which his Crowder's Creek land was sold. On 16 Aug. 1810 Rosanna Henry, William Henry, Alexander Henry, James Henry, Malcolm Henry, Joseph Carroll, Isabella Carroll, Thomas C. Henry, Jane Henry, and Josiah Henry, all of Lincoln County, N.C., sold for $100 to John Henry of York District, S.C., a tract on Crowder's Creek (no acreage stated).[74] On 7 Nov. 1815 (after the death of Rosannah Henry) the same group of hairs, styled legatees of the estate of William Henry, dec'd, sold to Robert Adams of York District for $563.75, the Crowder's Creek property, described as containing 451 acres on both sides of the State line, bounded by William Crawford, James Montgomery, Robert Barber, Reverend Jas. S. Adams, John Henry, William J. Wilson, and lands unknown.[75] The latter deed reflects two changes, besides Rosannah's death, in the family between 1810 and 1815: Edward Byers had become a legatee by marrying Jean Henry, and Alexander Henry had removed from the ares. His new residence is not indicated, but his brother William aigned for him as "attorney in fact."
