- Hamilton, William - entered service 1776 in Augusta County, Virginia in regiment commanded by brother Andrew; entered service 1781 while on visit to Harrodsburg, Kentucky; received Pension at age 93 in Boone County, Kentucky, 1833; died there 4/8/1834; married 1/12/1782/3 to Ruth Wilson (marriage license issued in Greenbrier County, Virginia) who was born 5/5/1760; widow received Pension 1843 in Gallatin County, Kentucky; resided 2/1848 at Warsaw, that County, with daughter Mrs. Hughes & died 8/23/1848; children's births: Andrew 1/15/1784, William 4/21/1786, James 10/28/1798, Samuel W. 6/1/1791, Mary W. 9/28/1793, Abraham 6/30/1798, John B. 12/27/1801 & Ruth W. 3/2/1804; children who survived mother: Andrew, William, Samuel W., James, Abraham, John B., Mary W. Hughes & Ruth Chiles; William Hughes was administer of widow's estate. F-W9059, R1172.
