    "(Dr.) William1 Gager, born in County Suffolk, England, ____, died at Charlestown, Mass., 20 Sept. 1630; married _____, born ____, died at Charlestown, in 1630. He was a friend of Governor Winthrop and came with the Winthrop Fleet in 1630. Wyman calls him a surgeon, from Little Waldingfield, co. Suffolk; Banks educes him from Winthrop's home town of Groton in the same county. Miss Caulkins quotes that he was 'a right godly man, and a skilful chyrurgeon,' and states that he was a deacon of the Charlestown church and that he died with his wife and two children in 1630."
