(Note: this record shows that William Fleming had died prior to 28 March 1782 and lists a "Margaret" as the wife of William Fleming in 1787, which seems to indicate that Anne, listed as William Fleming's wife in the land transaction in 1767 (shown above) had apparently died and William re-married prior to his death.).

• Page 243.--20th November, 1768. Israel Christian to his daughter Anne, wife of Cap. Wm. Fleming, natural love. &c., and marriage portion. For her natural life, a place whereon William now lives, called Bell Mount, upwards of 500 acres, at the Fording of Tinker's Creek, formerly property of John Robinson and adjoining lines with said Robinson; after her death to go to Leonard Israel Fleming, eldest son of Ann. In default of issue, to revert to grantor, in case of death of Leonard before Ann, she may designate beneficiary by will. (Note: this record proves the marriage of Anne Christian, daughter of Israel, as the wife of Capt. William Fleming).

(Note: this does not appear to be a record of this William Fleming, perhaps another William who married a daughter of James Ryburn. More research necessary).

Winston, or order, the sum of five pounds, seven shillings and six pence, cash lent you at Benjamin Mosby's, while I served in the Virginia Regiment, and you will oblige, your humble servant. (Note: Was the "Elizabeth Fleming" listed here possibly "Margaret Elizabeth" or a second wife, making the Margaret listed in William's estate records his third wife? More research necessary).

Fleming, Esq., Commissioner of Kentucky, of having a primitive right, which, he swears, he delivered to Col. Daniel Boon, of which he understands he was robbed. (Note: perhaps William Fleming was in Kentucky prior to his death?)
