This indenture, made and entered into this 11th day of may A.D. 1837, between William Daniel and Nancy his wife, late Nancy Reynolds, Isaac Darland and Alsey his wife, late Alsey Reynolds, John Abbitt and Maryann his wife, late Maryann Reynolds, Abraham Darland and Rebecca his wife, late Rebecca Reynolds, Alsey Darland, widow of William Reynolds, deceased, James R. Reynolds, Elizabeth Robinson, late Elizabeth Reynolds, William C. Robinson and Jane Robinson his wife, late Jane Royse, late Jane Reynolds, by their attorney in fact, William C. Robinson, of the Counties of Fountain and Parke and State of Indiana, of the first part, and William Reynolds of the County of Anderson, State of Kentucky of the second part, both parties heirs and legatees at law of William Reynolds, dec., Witnesseth--

That the party of the first part by their attorney aforesaid, have for and in consideration of the sum of Seven hundred and two dollars and Sixty cents, secured to be paid by note bearing the date of the above, executed by the party of the party of [sic] the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged by the party of the first part, have granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents doth grant, bargain and sell unto the party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever, all the right, interest and title and claim, that we the party of the first part are possessed of, as heirs at law aforesaid, in and to a certain undivided tract or parcel [of] land purchased by our ancestor William Reynolds, dec., of Hubbard Taylor Jr., it being a part of Haine's[?] Survey situate, lying and being in the County of Anderson and state aforesaid, on the waters of Gilbert's Creek and being the same land on which said William Reynolds lived at the time of his death, supposed to contain Two hundred and five acres, be the same more or less, and for boundary reference is hereby given to the deed of William Reynolds, the party of the second part, from Hubbard Taylor Jr. To have and to hold the said land, together with all and singular the appurtances thereunto belonging or in any way appertaining, free from the claim or claims of ourselves the party of the first part, our heirs or assigns, and all person or persons claiming thro[ugh], by or under us. And whereas our said ancestor did in his lifetime fail to obtain a deed of of [sic] conveyance for said land from said Taylor of whom he purchased, and the Teste yet remaining said Taylor, we the party of the first partdesire said Taylor to convey the same to the said William Reynolds the party of the second part, and we the party of the first part bind ourselves to bear our equal portion of all necessary and lawful expense or costs that the said William Reynolds the party of the second part may necessarily incur in obtaining the same.

In testimony whereof the party of the party first part [sic] by their attorney in fact aforesaid have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.

State of Kentucky, Anderson County Stet. I Jordan H. Walker, Clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid, do certify that this deed from Reynolds Heirs by their attorney in fact, William C. Robinson, to William Reynolds, was on the 11th day of May 1837 produced to me in my office by the Grantor and acknowledged by the said William C. Robinson as attorney in fact to be his act and deed, Whereupon the said deed together with the foregoing certificate hath been duly admitted to Record in my office.
