Disposition of Land from Chalkley's:
- Page 104.---24th July, 1769. William, John and Samuel Craig to James Gamble, £45, 247 acres in 2 tracts; 202 acres is part of 335 acres patented to Alexander Craig, 10th September, 1765, the other 45 acres patented to Alexander 5th June, 1765, which he devised by will dated 1st May, 1764, to wife Margaret and sons William and John; but Margaret has since deceased, the sole property descended to William and John, on a branch of Middle River, said Gamble's old corner. Tract of 45 adjoins above, hill near Craig's old house; corner to Alexander Blays; William Frame's line. Teste: John Archer, Rebecca ( ) Archer, William Frame.
