Thomas Coker left William Coker a negro boy named Peter, surveyor's instruments, two rifle guns, a bed, and saddle bags. A note on William B. Coker was collected in the settlement of Thomas Coker's estate.

William B. Coker is enumerated in the 1840 census in Monroe County, Mississippi and in the 1841 Mississippi state census in Monroe County, Mississippi.

In the 1830 census Wm. Coker is enumerated in the U. S. census in Bibb County, Alabama.

The 2 William Coker's in Bibb County, Alabama in this time frame are William C. Coker who married a Jemima and William B. Coker who was the son of Thomas Coker of Bibb County, Alabama. Thomas Coker of Bibb County died in 1818.

By 1840 William B. Coker was enumerated in the U. S. census in Monroe County, Ms. It is necessary to compare this data with the 1830 census data in Bibb for Wm. Coker.

The William B. Coker household in 1840 in Monroe County, MS.

one male - 5 < 10 - Robert , age 9 2 males - 10 < 15 - Benj. F., age 11 & unknown 3 males - 15 < 20 - Wm. T., age 15 & Joel Marshall, age 18 & unknown 1 male - 50 < 60 - William B. This certainly doesn't match exactly. Now which William Coker was enumerated in Bibb County in 1830? Is it possible that William C. Coker was not in Bibb County, Alabama until after 1840? Need to check land and deed records. This William Coker was somewhere in Alabama before 1830.

Unable to locate William Coker in the 1840 census in Bibb County or in Alabama. There are 2 William Cokers in Dallas County, but they are not a fit; there is one in Fayette County, but this family does not fit with the 1850 census. There is also a William Corker in Washington Parish, Louisiana, but that family is not a fit with the 1850 census data either.

Other familes on page in 1830 are Adam Rhineheart, John Goodgame, John Hicks, Cathrine Lathrine, John Lathran, Samuel Snider, ? Rally, James Whittle, Thos Nash, Jesse Smotherman, then Wm.
