Possible member of Company A, 1st Ohio Heavy Artillery.
Listed in the Sons of Union Veterans' Grave Database (as W. Carr, d. 19 April 1864) and in the Dept. of Veterans Affairs Gravesite Locator database (as William Carr, d. 19 April 1863). Both databases list him as being in Company A, 1st Ohio Heavy Artillery; however, he is not listed in the Official Roster of the Soldiers of the State of Ohio in the War of the Rebellion, nor in the Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System database.
