Obituary:

William E. Brewster, 80, of Orwell, died Thursday, June 24, 2010, at his residence. He was born March 1, 1930 in Burton, Ohio, a son of the late Bernie Brewster and the late Wilma (Frye) Brewster.

He worked as a hot bed operator for Copperweld Steel for 36 years. William was a member of the West Farmington VFW & Cortland Moose Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, hunting & traveling.

Surviving are his son, William E. (Emily) Brewster of York, SC, granddaughter, Sherry (Paul) Williams of Cortland, great-grandchildren, Alexander Villers, Kerstin Williams, and Ellyanna Williams, sister, Mary (Jack) Carter of Greene, and a brother, Charles (Miriam) Brewster of Munfordville, KY. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leora Rose (Gale) Brewster, whom he married February 25, 1956 and preceded him on September 2, 1908, and a brother, Robert Lee Brewster.

Graveside services will be held for William at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 27, 2010 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Greene Township, where Rev. James Holbrook will officiate.
