William Becket, s/o John Becket, shipwright of Salem, and Margaret his wife, m. Hannah [p. 140: first child, John, b. 10 Aug 1684]. Estate administered 2 Sep 1731.
↑ The death recordS1 gives his age at death as 54 in 1723 which would calculate to a birth about 1669. However, the marriage in 1683 suggests his birth was before 1662 in order to be legal age. One could speculate the age at death was off by 10 years (a common error), so born about 1659, but there is no evidence to support this.
