1. William1 Beaumount was born Abt. 1705, and died 1747 in By will,. He married Elizabeth Haines (Source: Goshen Membership Meeting Records.) May 06, 1730 in Goshen MM, Marriages, p12, Chester County, Pa. (Source: Goshen Membership Meeting Records.), daughter of John Haines and Elizabeth Satterthwaite. She was born Abt. 1710.
Notes for Elizabeth Haines: How I arrived at the conclusion that Hezekiah Hall married Elizabeth Haines, widow of William Beaumont. Hezekiah Hall was born in 1710 at Crosswicks, Mercer County, New Jersey and when about a year old, with his parents removed to Chesterfield, Burlington County, New Jersey. Hezekiah Hall was a son of Gervas Hall & Sarah Davenport. Sarah Davenport was the oldest daughter of Francis Davenport of Burlington County, New Jersey. Hezekiah Hall was later bound as an apprentice for 6 years in Philadelphia. When he finished his indenture as a Cordwinder, he relocated to Goshen, Chester County, Pennsylvania and made his home with JOHN HAINES for about 3 years before John Haines moved to the Jerseys to live at Mantua Creek, Gloucester County, New Jersey. I knew that Hezekiah Hall was married to Elizabeth but no surname. Thanks to Alice Beard (Nottingham Quakers) and a look-up, she found: HOLY TRINITY OLD SWEDES CHURCH as HESEKIAS HALL marries ELIZABETH BEMAUND ON JANUARY 31st 1750. (BEMAUND is not believed to be accurate.] It was probably BEAUMONT. IN OLD SWEDES BOOK: ("It is necessary to call attention to the old manner and irregularities of spelling the names contained in this work, and often a phonetic pronunciation must be resorted to.") Now that I had a name, I checked the Elizabeth Beaumont's I could find, but could not find one that made a match. After awhile, I went on the theory that at the age of Hezekiah Hall getting married, it just might be second marriages for either or both, especially where their son Gervas/Jarvis was born about 1750. I then found in Chester County, Pa. Will book, an Elizabeth Beaumont, admin. to William Beaumont, d. 1747 and she was about the age of Hezekiah Hall and then learned that she was the daughter of John Haines who Hezekiah had lived with twice, in 1744 and again in 1780 and that John Haines had lived both in New Jersey and Goshen, Chester County, Pa. Also, at the marriage of Elizabeth Haines & William Beaumont at Goshen two witnesses at their wedding were Isaac Haines & his wife Catharine Davis Also Hezekiah had lived with Joseph Matlack who was married to Rebecca Haines and Joseph Matlack was involved in the estate of John Hall with Hezekiah Hall. It all looked pretty good to me but I knew I needed to find something with Elizabeth (Haines) Beaumont becoming Elizabeth HALL. I finally found a marriage record for JOHN BEAUMONT, son of William Beaumont and Elizabeth Haines.
