It should be noted that William2 Bassett born ca. 1624 at Plymouth was son of William1 who came to Plymouth in 1621. The fact that both William2 Bassett of Plymouth and William1 Bassett of Dorking, Surrey and Lynn, were born in 1624 has led to some confusion.
