    QUAY 3 "William James Barker, who left Brechin, Ontario, in 1914 for Winnipeg, where he has resided since, passed away suddenly at his home, 124 Donald St.,, from a heart attack on Thursday evening, Octobe r 13, in his 65th year. Mr. Barker was director of Barker's funeral home and was well known in business and in Roman Catholic circles. He was a member of St. Mary's cathedral parish, and took an act ive part in the Knights of Columbus.
    Requiem high mass was sung in St. Mary's cathedral on Monday, October 17, at 10, and internment took place in St. Mary's cemetery.
    Mr. Barker is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Victor Malone and Miss Joan Barker, both of Winnipeg. Mrs. Barker died some years ago"
