William Ambrose was baptised on 28th February 1762 at Studham in Bedfordshire, son of John and Mary Ambrose. There was another William Ambrose baptised in Studham in 1759, making it difficult to tell them apart. However, William does appear to have witnessed his sister Mary's marriage in 1781. He has yet to be traced after 1781.
