  9. William stated on his World War I Draft Registration Card that he was born 16 June 1876. Also on the 1900 census he said his birth month was June but gave 1866 as his birth year. This year should have been 1876 not 1866 as proved by his age of 4 on the 1880 census. William's tombstone inexplicably gives his birthdate as 26 September 1875.
