WILLET HICKS, son of the late William Hicks, died yesterday [i.e. Sunday, June 16, 1912] at Glen Cove, Long Island. He was seventy-nine years old. The funeral will be held at the home of his daughter, Miss Gertrude Hicks, at Glen Cove, on Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock.” 13:52, 28 December 2011 (EST)~ The New York Times, June 18, 1912, Page 11:

WILLET HICKS, an old resident of Glen Cove, L. I., died there on Sunday [i.e. Sunday, June 16, 1912] at the age of 79. He was the son of the late William Hicks and the father of Miss Gertrude Hicks of Glen Cove.”
