Excerpts from E-Mail from Mark Jackson, son of James Edmond Jackson, dated November 21, 1999:
"...While I was looking at the tree, the name: Vernon Ross CLAGETT, Jr. jumped out at me. Ross died in a tractor accident. My father (James Edmond Jackson) was driving the tractor when this tragedy occurred. Ross and Dad were inseparable, best friends. Dad still gets upset when Ross is talked about. The tractor was fixed and used many years. My Uncle David (Norman David Jackson) was in a accident (20 years ago with the same tractor when a truck ran a stop sign and broadsided him. The tractor was repaired again and is still used to this day.) My Dad and I are preparing to restore the tractor in the next year or so. Interesting story and I have many more."
