Verna Mae Peden April 18, 1910 - July 23, 1990 BEREA - Verna Mae Peden, 80, a former Fremont resident, died Monday at Southwest General Hospital in Berea. She was injured June 26. Born in Fremont, she was the daughter of William Arthur and Maude (Wilson) Park. She married Boyd "Bud" M. Turner and later Dallas Peden, Sr. Both her husbands have died. She was a Fremont resident most of her life. Surviving are three sons, David L. Turner of Meadville Pa., Lyman Turner of Middleburg Heights and Norbert Turner of Santa Anna, Calif.; three daughters, Jo Ann Mason of Berea, Connie Vance of Phoenix, Ariz., and Martha Henricks of Phoenix, Ariz.; three stepchildren, Dallas Peden Jr., Joyce Peden and Nancy Nikolai; a brother, Owen Hughes of Newark, N.Y .; a sister, Opal Smith of Cincinnati; 34 grandchildren; and 50 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Roger W. Turner and Boyd M. Turner. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Baker Funeral Home, Berea, OH. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont.
