"Valentine (Prentice), b. say 1683-4; d. at Woodbury, Conn., in 1756, testate; m. Abigail Walker, bp. 20 Sept. 1691, dau. of Deacon Zechariah and Elizabeth (Minor) Walker. His birth is not recorded, and there is a gap in the baptisms from 12 Aug. 1683 to 6 Dec. 1691. In the final settlement of the Prentice estate in 1706, Valentine comes in for a share; Valentine of Woodbury gave a quitclaim to the executor, 'my loving brother, Capt. John Prentis' (New London Deeds, 6:105)."
