Miller, Valentine - entered service 1776 in Loudoun County, Virginia, where born on 1/12/1762; applied for pension 1842 in Monroe county, Virginia; Pension Application Rejected, insufficnent proof of service; married daughter of Philip Ensminger of Rockbridge County, Virginia; soldier's daughter Catharine Fink made affidavit 1842 in Monroe County, Virginia, her father resided Rockbridge County, Virginia, over 40 years ago when she was age 12-13; affidavit 1842 by widow's sister Mary Vance, Monroe County, Virginia, that John Noland, born & raised in same neighborhood as soldier in Loudoun County, Virginia, entered service with soldier, & died Gallia County, Ohio.
