Ursula died in Patrick county in 1839. After her death, het son Samuel and his wife Olive Shelton moved to Washington Co, Indiana to seek a new life there. His son David had moved out earlier, about 1834 with some of his brothers and sisters. Ursula is recorded as applying to the U.S. government in 1832 to receive a bounty land grant pension based on his service. she didn’t have enough documentation of proof even though her husband’s best friend, James Boaz sent a letter saying that James did serve in the Revolutionary War under Capt. Wm. Johns. by the time she received the rejection letter she had died.
