    In the name of god amen.
    The firste of Jannary Ao dm 1578: I Willyam Tylle of Henlowe in the cotintie of Beddforde husbandman, sicke of bodie but whole of minde, thanckes be unto god, doe ordain and make this my laste will and testament, in manner & fourme followinge:
    Firste I commilt my soule to allmiglhtie god, and my bodie to be buried in the church yarde of Henlowe aforesaide: Imprimis I give to Robert Tille my sonne, twoe bullockes, & to John his sonne, one bullocke:
    Item I give unto Willyam Warde. my sonne in lawe. twoe bullockcs,one yearelinge, & an other twoe yeares oulde:
    Item I give unto Willyam Slieffeilde my sonne in lawe, a cowe bullocke & a bullchime.
    Item I will that Wi I lyam Slieffeilde shall have his bargaine, in my lande from that time he beganne untill three yeares be expired:
    Item I give unto every one of Robert Tylles children, twoe sheepe a peese & to him selfe fowet sheepe:
    Item I give unto Agnes Warde two sheepe:

    Item I give unto Richard Huckle, a quarter of barley, and to every one of his children, a bushel of pease.
