These letters on occasion mentioned the Parmenas Taylor family and in one instance, in an 1827 item, even announced Parmenas Taylor's death. In that letter, Parmenas Taylor's son-in-law John Cunningham Turnley (residing in Jefferson County, Tennessee) revealed the news to Hannah Rose's son Ninian Edmonston (residing in North Carolina) and called him a cousin. ...
